I have found a disconnect between a great looking bike and a great riding bike.  Many of the faired bikes become easily dated mainly based on the improvement in lighting technology.

My best looking bike is based on style, flow, and color scheme.

Like to post this on threads like this one. The pic of it with the proper stripes is too  blurry though, this is the only good one I have.

Amazing how many of you are picking based on the fairings.

Personally, I like to see the engine...yeah, I have a C14.  So sue me.

Any Guzzi twin.  Pure sex on wheels.

Honda CBX.  Audacious, in your face engine.

Ducati Diana 250.  Purity defined.

Norton Commando 850.  Laverda Jota 1000.  Looks fast standing still.

Paint all those fairing-wrapped bikes gray, and we would all be wandering around the lot trying to find the one that our key fit.  Just sayin.

Why, my current ride of course!!  Tour it, race it, ride it, show it, and ride it some more.  Easily the most versatile bike I have ever owned.  April saw over 5000 miles on this machine, on road and off.  This weekend I used it for our Adventure Camp, starting tomorrow I am using it for our Advanced Street Skills 5 day class for the Military Mentor Training Program we do for the US Army Special Forces.

My choice would be the Vincent Black Lightning.  One sexy engine right there, and a bike that was pretty far ahead of it's time.

In stock form, the best looking bike is a toss up between a 78-79 KZ1000-LTD (cuz I owned one), and the Vincent Black Shadow.

The best sounding bike is the 916, which would give a dead man a woodie.

Fact.

FM. I can't tell if you are joking?   ???  FWIW, I see beauty in purpose driven design, if there is no value in application, I see no appeal.  My GS is purpose built, with sturdy, clean lines meant to used in all situations for real world use.  The lines are appealing, the color is appealing, and all additions deliver function, not flash, even the stickers have purpose-support the industry products that provide reliable bits of kit.  Only (roughly) 10,000 miles this years (3,000 off road), and she still looks hot!!
