C-10 Piston, rod, misc junk
« on: May 30, 2011, 03:17:44 PM »
I am working on making something for another hobby of mine: single edge shaving. I am wanting to make a neat one off shave brush/razor stand. If anyone has junk lying around their shops, let me know. I was thinking of using a piston for the base with a connecting rod coming up. A piece of a crank would work for me too. Just whatever.  Internal engine stuff/transmission gears, stuff like that. It doesn't matter if the stuff isn't serviceable for it's original purpose.

Thanks all
Brian

Considering that I work on big diesel engines and ship board heavy equipment you should see the desk drawer assortment of parts that I've collected that are no longer even recognizable as to their original use.

Couple of pistons and rods, maybe a crank, old valves, gears.  Stuff like that.

Yes that is a hole the size of a hard ball in a piston that is near the size of a 2.5 gallon bucket.

All this caused by one set-screw about the size of a house fly... Did not mesh!
