It's a touring off-road, shaft drive air-cooled under 500 lb  cruise control 5 traction control settings, very interesting

my friend matt has a deposit on one of those. looking forward to trying it but never been a guzzi fan. should be good though and price point is excellent.

It's Italian and that should tell you a few things but if you get by  that then I think it's a work of art much like a Ducati.

Ive owned a few ducatis, liked them all, and not bad to work on regardless of what people say, and even had a MotoMorini 3 1/2 that was fantastic. Italian stuff is fine, I just don't like opposed cyl bikes w the crank parallel to the frame... guzzi, bmw boxers, and CX hondas. Not saying they are bad, at all,  just hate the design for no good reason aside from personal preference.

Guzzis have lots of character and a very unique feel to them, and if I won the lottery I would have one in my Motorcycle Harem. It would almost certainly be a Griso 1200.
Would I take one on a 5,000 mile/4 week tour? Hell no, not even a Norge or Stelvio.

My first bike was a Honda Silverwing GL500.  It had the CX500 type of engine.  I fell in love with it then.  Only thing I hate about them are their propensity to attract wasps.

Now Jim, what does race, culture and religion have anything to do with owning a CX500? ;D
