Looking for Kawasaki KDS3 software
« on: May 29, 2020, 01:30:29 AM »
Hi everyone this is my first time to post the asking article at the forum.

I am looking for original Kawasaki KDS3 software. the version of CD is above over than version 3. the appearance of CD looks like as below

https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.militaryatvparts.com%2Fservice_manuals%2F99929-0442-KDS%2520Ver.3%2520Instruction%2520Manual-EN.pdf&psig=AOvVaw1FAoJtbe7HZcmjxET4Sq-9&ust=1590824279535000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCICDy7XI2OkCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAK

I have been looking for this for about three months. I have checked all around of every corner like the ebay , rakuten, some dealers who sell this CD. There are no sources from these places. Some dealer said the CD is unavailable  not manufactured by Kawasaki anymore.

If someone who wanna  sell KDS 3 CD, please contact me.  We can discuss about the price and offer the seller a good price.

I ordered PN 57001-1802 from Kawasaki.  That got me KDS3 V3.1.4 which works with Windows 10.  I'm not sure if there is a later version or not.

Where are you located syce?  V3.1.4 is the latest.  I got it from a dealer in 2018, ordered as a spare part.  If you hit a brick wall I can probly help you.

Sorry for responding late.  Wow that's amazing how did you get the 57001-1802 from Kawasaki?  I tried to order it from Kawasaki; however Kawasaki replied me that they only sell  57001-1802 to their authorized dealers.

Hi Freddy. Apologetic for responding late. Thanks for your kindness and willingness to help me. Actually I do really hit a brick wall currently.   Because of the corona virus, some of dealer didn't respond me whether they have stock or not. Others replied me that they can't be allowed to sell it anymore or kawasaki has too few inventories to give dealers the software (I don't know their saying is true or false.)

I am located in Taiwan. If you don’t mind, could you share me where and how you got the KDS software? In addition, I hope I wouldn't offend you. If you have extra KDS software ,would you kindly sell it to me?  I will be grateful for any help you can provide. thank you

The only software I have is 57001-1802.  I simply ordered it from a dealer, they ordered it in from Kaw and sold it to me.

Note that this is copyrighted software and the correct way to get a copy is to order it from a Kawasaki dealer.  It can be hard to find the P/N but I can get that for you if needed.  I purchased but latest version (which works with Windows 10) a couple of years ago and I recall that it was about $60 US.

It would be illegal to give or sell a copy of the software to someone else.  But using it also requires a KDS adapter 57001-1648, usb cable V57001-0017, and communication cables 57001-1649  6/8pin and 57001-1688  8/4 pin.

I thought the setup was around $1000 to $1500.

I cannot imagine a use for the KDS software without the KDS3 hardware.

LOL.  Yeah, you can throw the disc at the bike and hope it tells you something   :rotflmao:

Seriously, though, just pointing out to those newer to the concept that the software part doesn't include the hardware parts.
