New member from Queensland Australia. Been riding a 2014 GTR1400 for a while now. Excellent sports/tourer with a few modifications to improve long distance riding and handling. Excellent forum IMHO.

Mr. Smokin, hey to a rider from down under. Is there more than one C14 in Queensland? Over here we have deer to avoid- over there must be the errant croc or Tazmanian Devil runnin' about?

In Australia the Concours C14 is called a GTR1400,and they are extremely popular for obvious reasons.
The main area of concern regarding collisions with wildlife is the kangaroo aka skippy .Tasmanian devils are small creatures and live only in Tasmania which in below Australia on the map.
Crocs are not really a concern unless you live in the Northern Territory and you like fishing or camping near rivers. They usually drag their victim into the water and drown them.

Crikey, thanks for the corrections on all my Australian misconceptions. Happy trails.

No worries mate, when you come "down under" we will have a beer and throw a scrimp or two on the BBQ

You mean a flat of tinnies? After I visit the panel beater for smash repairs, because I was on the way to the tip and hit a boomer :-/
Was there in '83, very pretty country, nice people, good food, weird animals and plants :) I've heard it's changed though, government wise.
