Option 1:  Bash it out with a hammer.

Option B:  Remove the fairing.

It is attached to the fairing from the inside.  You can't access anything meaningful behind it anyway.  The horns are behind it, but they won't come out through the opening. If you want to do anything back there you'll have to pull the instrument panel, or the whole fairing.

Hmmm, looking to pull the wiring from horn to hook to a relay to use a new horn.  I guess it will wait till it warms a bit and I put the shorter windshield on.  Do it and add accessory port for 12v.

Thanks.

Pretty near have to remove the main fairing to get to the horns. When you do that, busting the grill out (to get to the horns) is moot.

Removing the main fairing is a five minute job, once you've done it a few times. Remove middle fairings, the inner pocket fairings, the windscreen, the dash cowling, the mirrors. Remove (twist out) the turn signal bulb socket assembly, remove the main fairing.

#2 and #3 phillips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench is all you need.

If you just want to get to the wires, you can reach them from the bottom, remove the little plastic filler down front, voila....

To answer the original question, that grill is not "removable".  It is melted into position at the factory.  It has little posts that serve as rivets when they are melted.  When I repainted, I ground them down to remove it for painting.  Then re-adhered it with a Lego and MEK slurry after painting.  In hind sight, I probably didn't need to, but they were painted separately at the factory.
