Just in case anyones expecting a little tribute to Carrie Fisher after the credits for The Last Jedi there isn't.

I stayed and waited so you don't have too :)

Thanks! I hadn't even thought of it and bolted after the movie was over.

There was a quick one before the movie when I saw it.

Could be, though I heard one reviewer on the radio today say that to stay through the credits as the tribute was at the end of them.

Boardwalk Empire is really good. I grew up around Atlantic City and it's fun to see what it looked like before all the big casinos came.

My wife and I enjoyed watching this, a lot.

I haven't seen The Last Jedi yet. We were planning to this weekend but now I may wait for the bluray.

My son took his family to see it over the weekend and he says that the movie was a HUGE disappointment. He even said that there was a big WTF moment in the movie but he wouldn't elaborate, he said that I'll have to see for myself.

Certainly wasn't as good as either Rogue One or The Force Awakens and with hindsight there were probably several WTF moments .

At times it felt like a cross between Harry Potter & LOTR ;)

I was disappointed as well. I've actually seen it twice now. I went with my wife and my brother and his wife on Sunday. Then on Tuesday my company took our group out to Alamo Draft House for lunch and this movie. I actually considered passing and staying at work. But the food and grog at Alamo Draft House won the day and I went and saw it again. I wouldn't call it horrible but I would say meh.

The Magnificent Seven, the new one with Denzel Washington. It was not too bad and better than expected although like almost all remakes of classics, this one also fell short of the original. Not really because it was not a good movie, and Mr. Washington was actually excellent in it (as he almost always is in movies) but because the original IS the classic and anything else, perhaps even something better, is just not 'right'. Still, not a bad flick. My only real complaint is that they teased starting to play the theme song all the way through the movie and did not actually play it until the closing credits, and then it was a very low- key, quiet version.

Watched The Equalizer a while back and actually liked that movie a lot.

The BBC did a really good documentary a few years back called 'The Death of Yugoslavia.' It's on YouTube as either the whole four hour affair or broken up into smaller chunks.

I'm studying Slavic languages and found it useful. Check out some of the roads in that part of Europe. Looks like a fun place to ride.  8)

I spent the whole holiday week Netflix binge-watching all 4 seasons of "The 100".  And it looks like season 5 will come out in the next few months, maybe.  Quite entertaining.  A solid "B."
