I made it over 43,000 miles before a drop.
« on: October 06, 2013, 02:20:43 PM »
I broke my left ring finger at work. I rode the bike home in pain, but not helpless. So I decided to take it back in on Friday. It seemed to get more and more painful on the ride in. Every time I pulled the clutch in it was very painful. So as I was parking in a soaking wet jobsite parking lot I was putting it into an escape from work position. All of a sudden the right side got heavy and I had no strength in my left hand to even try to hold it up. It went down very lightly, but it was like hell getting it back up. The good thing is that it was soft gravel and only a few light scratches on mirror, fairing, and side bag. I have decided not to ride it again until the finger heals up a bit.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. My new bike is still fall free for now.

When she starts to roll over on the right and you're on the left....ain't too much you can do.  Luckily....she went down easy, otherwise it may have been an expensive lesson.

Sorry to heat that.  You need to apply for a CDA number  ;)

I dropped my '86 6 times, my 2000 twice my 2001 zero and my 2009 zero.  I finally realized what I could and should not do while on the bike.

I dropped the 08 twice and the 2010 once, but the 2011 is still standing strong. Knock on wood.

I did dump the 2008 twice and the last dump was a total.
