Thank you for the replies. I saw that one on Ebay too. Its the wrong color but that can be changed. I agree with you about the seller being confused. He did list the part number but that's not the part number for the mirror on bikebandit.com.
It has 5 days left. I'm going to ask if he can clarify what year it is. That mirror is the light blue color which was available in 08...I think???
I wish I had been able to stop & find the bird. It was just before sunrise. The bird was crossing the 3 lanes on the other side of the interstate & when it got to the dividing wall in the median it went into a nose dive like it was attacking something. It immediately hit my mirror & then my left side ribs. It give me a pretty good hit to the ribs. The plastic mirror housing virtually exploded when the bird hit it.
The way the bird dived down, I think it was either a hawk or an owl. What hit me looked to be the size of a basketball, that's wings.
I was running 80mph when I hit it. By the time I realized what had happened, I was about a mile down the road. It was dark & I didn't want to risk searching in the dark on the interstate for a bird.
