Title: Fly & Ride to COG National 2011 in Vermont
Post by: ssmith on July 09, 2011, 03:41:55 PM
Can't ride all the way to Vermont... here is another option.

We just learned of a Motorcycle Rental operation in South Burlington, VT that might be of service to some potential attendees that may not have the time to ride all the way to Vermont.  They have a selection of new Kawasaki and BMW bikes for rent.

They are extending a 10% discount to rallygoers for a one day rental and a 15% discount on rentals for 2+ days.

They are located next to Burlington Int'l Airport for easy fly and ride rentals.

Check them out at www.motovermont.com (http://www.motovermont.com)

Steve, we were not going to attend his year, until we thought of flying.
We did not have enough vaction time to travel there/back and stay for the National.

So. last week we arranged flight, lodging, registration, and a car.
We will fly into New York.
We wanted to rent a bike for the entire time but the wife and cost ruled that out.
But a cage for me (while everyone else was on a bike) sounded awful!

So, I started looking and found out thet there are lots of options to renting a bike.
Lots of locations are out there.....
Most want to rent you a Harley.
The location you posted was for BMW's.
Eaglerider or motorcycle-rental.net seems to be the best option to finding where bikes are available.
Also offer biggest variety of bikes.
After using them to locate bikes, I contacted a dealer "in Burlington" and rented my bike.

I wanted a C-14 or a FJR (and found both) but did not rent.
My wife (Boss) wanted a Goldwing, and we rented one.......

We'll  only have a bike for a couple of days, and it's a wing... But we'll be on 2 wheels!
See ya'll there...

Here is a heads up to anyone else that might use this option...
We had to save money to be able to make this trip. The list prices we found hurt!
So we negotiated and used the internet. Saved approx $700!!!!
Priceline.com is your friend.. Use it for flight and car.......

Ride safe, Ted
