Lake Superior

In the next week or two I'm hoping to ride from Manitoba to Thunder Bay and then down to Duluth.  Any places, things I should know about?

Betty's Pies in Two Harbors, MN.

Lake Superior Brewery, all of their stuff is yummy.

Buy carry out beer ONLY at a liquor store in MN, all gas stations, markets, drug stores only sell the 3.2 watered down stuff. Of course, if you drink any of the light beers, you don't have to worry about that. ;) Same goes for taverns, if they do not sell the hard stuff, they can only sell 3.2. The above is unless they finally changed the law, that's how it was five years ago when I moved outta there.

Make a stop @  Aerostich in Duluth (drive in 10% discount) (Garage sale this weekend) and watch out for Leo and Bambi on Hwy 61. +1 @ Betty's Pies :D

Ditto on Aerostich.

Near Thunder Bay, this place is worth a stop for either a bridge stroll, zip line, or just a chicken view from the edge. http://www.eaglecanyonadventures.ca/

Just above Duluth at Illgen City, take a ride up Hwy 1 to Ely, MN  Some of the best twisties in the area.

In Duluth, I'd recommend Fitgers Brewpub for good food and great beers.

If you can add a few more miles south try to ride down to Jay Cooke state Park.

The road to the park is pretty nice if you like a few curves.

I have attached and inserted a picture.

I've driven from Duluth back to MB several times and was looking for a different way to go.  I should have the time to try this route and it looks interesting.  Thanks
