Bikes like that are getting really popular. I'd like to try one for a while. 8)

I don't want a chain drive on a cross country bike.  PITA to take care of every night when all I want to do is set p camp and relax.

I rode this cross country and back.  A couple of 900 mile days.  No issue with chain whatsoever. Not much to do with O ring chains   ;D

Planning on selling my Vee shortly.  The Africa Twin is currently at the top of my short list.

Maybe it was just the OEM chain, but by the time I got home I had ridden 7000 miles and ended at 15000 miles on the Versys.  Half the O Rings were blown out.

Doing minimum to zero maintenance on my CBR I was changing chains and sprockets every 18,000 to 20,000 miles.

For all the benefits like no loss of HP due to inefficiency of the shaft, and MUCH less spun weight on the bike I like a chain a whole lot better. But thats why they make different products, I know many (if not more) prefer the shaft for hi-miles (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)
