Title: spin on filter kit

With the spin on oil filter kit do you still need to modify the plastic on the bottom below filter area?

You do not have to cut anything...... If you want to run a LONG filter then you will need to trim the plastic to allow clearance. But that is not required to run the standard length filter.

Thanks. That what I thought by looking at the photo on Murph's site.

i don't understand why you wouldn't want to modify the bottom plastic. I see no point whatsoever in the plastic crossover piece, and cut it entirely from my belly pan. Steve

Just cause...... I only trimmed mine back with a piece of tupperware to make a half circle cutout.

I may take a look at doing that.I guess anything that would make it faster means more time to ride.
