Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest (BBQ and Ride SEP 16-17)
« on: May 27, 2011, 05:38:31 pm »
If you haven't been to the Lake of the Ozarks before, now is your chance. I live 30 minutes from the Lake of the Ozarks and will be hosting a BBQ and ride on the 16th and 17th of September. The tentative plan is to meet at my house Friday evening (16th) for some BBQ. Then Saturday morning (17th) we will ride some awesome Ozark roads (route is posted) then head up to Osage beach to check out the bikes later that afternoon and evening. There are also lots of live bands playing throughout the weekend. Let me know who is planning to make it.

Here is a link for area hotels if you want to stay in the St Robert area (10-15 minutes from my house).

I live in Waynesville, MO but if you want to stay in the Osage Beach area there are tons of hotels up there.

Here is a link to my address, it is 23080 Reward Rd Waynesville, MO 65583.

Here is the menu:
Smoked Pork shoulder (pulled not chopped for sandwiches)
hot dogs for kids
Baked beans
cole slaw/potato salad

I have 4 kids and they will all be here, so if anyone wants to bring their kids, you are more than welcome to do so.  Just let me know how many you have coming so I know how much pork shoulder and fixins' to prepare.

You weren't slowing me down, you were just making sure if I got pulled over I wouldn't go to jail.   ;)

Sounds great. Love that part of the country. Too far out to commit.

There are several camp sites within 15 minutes, or you could even pitch a tent in my back yard.

Here is one of the several in the area.

Is there really a town named "Crocker" just NW of Waynesville?  Looks like I might just have to work half a day Thursday and take Friday off...it's only 770 miles... ::)
