Ktm super duke gt
« on: April 15, 2017, 02:22:26 PM »
Test rode a super duke gt. I was expecting it to blow me away. It has gobs of power and very light compared to my c14. But the engine felt lumpy at low revs. Really have to crank it to feel smooth. Also a bit tall - not sure how it will be with my wife on the back.
Also test drove a Ducati supersport. It felt good! And makes such good sound!
I just bought a bike and here I am at it again.......

If 170hp bike weighing  450lbs with a really awesome suspension does not blow you away than nothing will. Just saying.
If you still have fuel in the tank, you are not lost yet
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle

I test rode the Ducati Suprersport S this weekend as well. I was blown away by how manageable yet really fast that bike is. Other sport bikes I've ridden were fast but "twitchy". This bike felt like a really light, nimble, more powerful version of my C14. I'm not a sport bike kind of guy but I could almost imagine myself owning that bike.

A month after I bought my C14, and a couple days after the 07' rally, my wife and I took the C14 on a nice trip down thru Suches Ga, and over to HHI and back up to Va.
We stayed at High Valley, but ran down to TWO for lunch... and found KTM semis alligned down the road...
They were giving test rides.... OMG... I also ran into a half dozen of my close COG pals, who happened to be there also, and also, they never knew about the "event"... everyone was lined up and signed up to ride the monsters.....

I wanted to and my wife grabbed me in front of all of them and sain NO f'n wayyyy man"... you just bought the last "must have bike"...

I admit, she was/is right....

Heheheh
