There was some but I dont remember just what. I didnt use the middle latches and had to do some adjusment to the back one. Nothing an extra hour and a grinder couldnt fix. Sorry I cant remember specifics.

Other threads in the past have also mentioned that you can't just use the ZX-14 seat without swapping/modifying the brackets/latches some.

Yep. I might have done some swapping. I know I did a little modifying but it wasnt to tough. I figured it out!

Just to follow-up, I did the russell day long and did 200 miles today and problem is solved.  Although I still feel a slight hint of slope that might be psychological.

I've owned a lot of bikes over the years and I must say this is the only time I couldn't live with the stock seat.  I took a 4,200 mile trip last year and with riding pants on I would slowly slide forward while the pants stayed in place  :-[  Just looking at the bike was painful.  The seat itself was not bad at all, just the slope.
