Probably when I had my bicycle stolen (locked with chain) at the library as a kid has warped me for life  :'( :-\.

Did they take the lock and chain, too?

I grew up on AF bases in the 60's and never had anything (bike) stolen until my dad went to Vietnam and we moved to Levittown Pa in 1967/68.  And they took the locks as well.....bastards.

as a kid in Cleveland, (1966) they would break the lock, and steal the chain and lock.... and leave the bike... go figure... damned hoodlum kids... a brick wasn't good enough as a weapon, they wanted a chain...  ::) ::)

snip...

I'm probably letting you all into my paranoia......but I also have a 20 amp fuse between my battery tender hook up and the battery. That's for when some asshat decides to short out my
tender cable with a paper clip so I have a dead bike. Yeah, I know, I have a problem  :o. I don't leave my helmet or my jacket just sitting on the bike when I go in to eat either, it all comes in with me.

Better safe than sorry right?

You don't tuck your tender connector out of sight inside of the fairing?

In Chicago, so yeah those too.

No, I don't. I think if I tucked it in then I'd almost have to remove the fairing to get it out again. Similar to how it seems when I'm in the john
trying to whiz when I'm in ATGATT. Much easier to just let it hang out. (EZgirls  :-*)

Well now, saying that this is TMI would have been an understatement.   ;)
