I transferred the personalized plates from my Pontiac to the TDI and got new plain Jane plates for the Pontiac. I'm giving the car to my son.

You're such a nice guy!

Have you ever noticed that if you are vacuuming, the noise doesn't bother you, but if you are not the one vacuuming you just want to scream 'Turn that d*** thing off!'

Your C14 don't need no stickin vacuuming!

I told my wife that since we're giving my son the Pontiac that we don't need to get him anything else for Christmas.

That didn't go over as well as I had hoped.    :o

For Christmas my oldest son asked for parts for the xs650 cafe project bike and my youngest wants a brake job for his car. How can Santa say no?

 to Snap-On tools...   I had a 3/8 ratchet wrench that I bought in the mid-70s whilst working with my future father-in-law.  It started skipping teeth just recently.  Snap-on still had a kit to fix it.  They sent it to me at no charge and I now have a like new ratchet again.

You almost can't beat that!

I found my first Snap-On tool by the side of the road some years back. It's a really nice 3/8" ratchet with a padded handle.

When you're munching on some pistachios, and you come across one that hasn't been pre-cracked, do you toss it, or do you hunt down the pliers/nutcracker/other device?

Remember when you could get a handful of pistachios out of a bubble gum-type machine? And they were dyed red?

A beautiful weekend for riding around these parts...and I have had nothing short of the plague beset up me. Feh, sneezing, congestion, sore throat, cough, mild fever.

The plague cart is waiting patiently for me...
