2008 C14 drag race helmet cam
« on: July 01, 2012, 08:34:20 PM »
Ran my '08 C14 at Midnight Madness at Gateway Motorsports Park

Helmet view of C14 Drag Race!

Best Time Run:  10.845sec@124.21mph
Best Speed Run:  10.867sec@126.93mph

So much fun!

BTW, the black C14 I was racing just could not keep up with my Silver C14!!  :)  Silver is the fastest!

More vids will be uploaded to my YouTube Channel of the night.  Keep watching for them!

Nice, Is she stock? I'm curious what a stock C14 would do in the real world on the strip, not in a magazine. Mine is bone stock. First Gear seems to give up around 8K RPM, 2nd and 3rd gear's are the sweet gears for running.

What were your 60' ft times?  I am surprised you got out of the hole so fast when you launched at 6-7000 rpm, I figured wheel spin would have been a problem at that high of an rpm.  Good run either way.  I would also like to know what you have done performance wise.

My 60' times were 1.76sec to 1.80sec.  Didn't have any problems with the wheel breaking loose, but the front wheel did want to come up...

My '08 C14 performance mods are few...
Vance&Hines CSOne slip on exhaust
Throttle Position Sensor tweaks to fix a lean surge condition I was getting. (Dealer did this at Kawasaki Tech suggestion)
K&N Free Flow Air Filter

But I did have my baby dyno'ed not to long ago which showed 150HP:

Great run...you look very good at this!

Interesting to see the pavement oil stains at the end of the track turnout.  :'(
