Highway pegs on the cheap
« on: July 14, 2012, 04:18:20 PM »
After spending $450.00 on my Canyon Cage I had a hard time justifying to myself why I should spend another $150.00 on highway pegs. So I bought a pair of cheap drag specialty pegs for $25.00 to including shipping got out a can of bed liner spray I already had in the garage and went to work. Using sandpaper and a little elbow grease I sanded down all of the chrome surfaces and laid down four coats over the last two days allowing them to bake in the sun for a couple of hours today before install. From my experience this stuff is just as good if not better than powder coating after it fully cures. These are not as nice as Rivco but for $25.00 and a few hours of work I'll take it.

I just figured I wasn't the only one who might take issue with paying $100.00 + on highway pegs.
